Visitors to the “Body Parts” performing art exhibition held at the Royal Scottish Academy in February 2007, were asked to throw balls of clay (from Mr. Esson's field) against paper on a wall, to leave impressions on the paper. 

The clay balls were then fired in a kiln and intended for future use in a later work.
